The Hand Knotted Rugs woven in India may start from 25 Knots p. sq. inch and may go up to 125 Knots p. sq. inch. Usually, a good New Zealand Wool is blended with indigenous Indian Wool and /or Viscose for the low and mid-range knotted qualities, which then, hand spun (these days) and hand abrush dyed before going into weaving process. Generally, these knotted (mid and low knotted ranges) create a larger scale pattern in wide range of colors throughout the rug. An average rug may take four to eight months from start to finishing of the rug before it is shipped for Exports.
